Poster Campaign and Concept Branding for Chepe Punk
Chepe Punk is a university design project: a long-weekend proposal (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) with free concerts in the heart of San José. I wanted to bring live music to iconic places of Costa Rican culture, starting with the Teatro Nacional, and give them a bold, contemporary identity.

This project was a unique challenge: capturing the timeless magic of such a historic team while embracing modern minimalism.

The Concept
The Concept
Chepe is the nickname locals use for San José, and punk is the attitude. The idea is to open the capital's most iconic venues after dark and invite people to discover them through music. Each poster works as an invitation, using the tagline 'Visita las Maravillas te invita' to present the event

Brush Lettering with Glitch Effect
A hand-brushed wordmark with a cyan and magenta chromatic split gives the logo a raw, punk energy that contrasts with the formal architecture behind it
Nocturnal Duotone Photography
I edited my own photos of the Teatro Nacional into dark, neon-lit scenes, so a classic landmark feels like the setting of a night out.
Circular Typography
The tagline wraps around the logo like a stamp, tying the whole series together while leaving the photography room to breathe

From Photo to Poster
Every poster starts from an original photograph taken at the Teatro Nacional. I graded each one in a blue and magenta palette, darkened the edges, and placed the type to guide the eye from the logo to the invitation.

The series shows how a heritage venue can speak to a younger audience without losing its character. The same system of logo, circular tagline, footer message and sponsor bar adapts to any location in the city, so new weekends and venues can join the campaign
